Composite completes 4-storey car park and supermarket for Waitrose adjacent to busy railway line.
MORE INFO
Composite’s approach to the construction of houses and flats for the Social Housing and Key Worker sectors encompasses the use of our tried and tested timber volumetric modular building system. It fully encompasses the Government’s guidelines for Modern Methods of Construction.
Our timber modules are manufactured under quality-controlled factory conditions and are delivered to site with accommodation areas such as the kitchen and bathroom fully fitted-out. In addition, all plumbing, gas and electrical equipment is installed, ready for connection to services on-site. Erection is non-weather dependent as the modules come to site completely protected.
Composite’s form of modular construction reduces the number of on-site operatives and construction times. This helps to reduce the Health & Safety risks and environmental constraints in terms of traffic, noise and dust pollution normally associated with the more traditional forms of housebuilding. Typically we can reduce on-site construction periods by up to 50%.
Each project is individually developed to maximise the potential in terms of site usage and cost-efficiency. Modules are designed and manufactured to suit specific project needs and afford flexibility in the project’s layout, size, fitting-out and elevational treatment.
Timber used for the core structural framing is manufactured from sustainable and renewable materials.
We meet all of the EcoHomes statutory thermal performance, fire resistance, insulation and acoustics standards.
